Andrew, Robert David
Robert David Andrew Jr, age 54 of Clinton, CT, loving husband to Cathleen French-Andrew and caring father to four children Nicolas Andrew, Brianna Valerio, Marcus Andrew and step-son Robert Bragaw, passed away on July 1, 2018 in his home surrounded by the love of family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. David was born December 21, 1963 in New Haven, CT to parents Robert David Andrew Sr. of Branford, CT and Martha McNeil Petitte of Cordova, TN. He graduated from Guilford High School in 1982 and was a Volunteer Firefighter for the towns of Clinton & Guilford, CT for over 23 years. David was a resident of Clinton, CT for 24 years. He married the love of his life, Cathleen French in 2010 and lived a cherished life with his love and his adorable puppies, Alex, Nico & Lily. David was an accomplished drummer and was a member of numerous Connecticut bands: Johnny Law, Tomorrow Just Started, Late for Dinner, Kelly Tamale Band, Rock Bottom and many more. David will be most remembered for his smile that could light up a room, his gentle heart and selflessness, his passion for classic horror flicks and his unparalleled ability to tear it up on the drums! In addition to his wife Cathleen French-Andrew and his children he is survived (and will be dearly missed by): Brother Kevin Andrew, Step-Father Leonard Petitte Jr, three step-siblings Kevin Petitte, Leonard Petitte III, Sister Lennace Petitte, five grandchildren, countless cousins, nieces and nephews as well as four aunts Barbara McNeil, Patricia Heldenfels, Marlene Beeler and Robbie Andrew. David's family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Swan Funeral Home staff for their wonderful and thoughtful care. Per David's request a memorial service will be held late June, 2019. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Clinton, CT Fire Department.
