Hannon, Sherry (Rossitto)
Sherry Marie (Rossitto) Hannon, 70, of Cromwell, beloved wife of Robert T. Hannon, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at her home. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Caesar and Shirley (Nugent) Rossitto.
Sherry lived in Cromwell for the past 35 years and was a member of Saint John Church. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and traveling and most of all, loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Sherry is survived by two sons, Richard Basile and his wife, Lizette of Killingworth and Vincent Basile and his fiancé, Chris of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; her daughter, Shirley LaRosa and her husband, Michael of Higganum; two step-children, Matthew Hannon and his wife, Katie of Bolton and Michelle Hannon of Mystic; four brothers, Richard Rossitto of South Windsor, Caesar Rossitto of Wethersfield, Christopher Rositto of Florida and Caesar Rossitto of Coventry; two sisters, Elaine Hourigan of Newington and Donna Riccio of Glastonbury; eight grandchildren, Dominic Basile, Paige Basile, Daniel LaRosa, Anthony Basile, Jillian LaRosa, Elizabeth Hannon, Audrey LaRosa and Sydney Hannon and two great-grandchildren, Carson Basile and Ariyah Basile.
Besides her parents, Sherry was predeceased by a grandchild, Vincent Basile and her sister, Geraldine Prisbie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint John Church, 5 Saint John Court, Cromwell. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill.
Family and friends may call on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell.
