Mr. Donald V. Ahearn, 79, of Milford, MA, died Friday, January 3, 2020, at his residence after an illness. He was the beloved husband of Janice M. (Scrima) Ahearn. Mr. Ahearn was born in Natick MA, the son of the late Patrick Vincent Ahearn and the late Hannah (Beaton) Ahearn. He was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1958. He also received his associates degree from Becker Junior College in Worcester MA. Mr. Ahearn was a lifelong resident of Milford, MA and had served six years in the Massachusetts Army National Guard where he was a member of the 181st Engineer Battalion, serving in the Whitinsville unit. Mr. Ahearn owned and operated the Scott-Ahearn Chevrolet automobile dealership in Milford for many years and was a member of multiple automobile dealer associations. He was also a past-member of the Milford Lions Club. Along with his beloved wife of fifty-eight years, he is survived by his two children: John V. Ahearn and his wife Kirstin of Hoover, AL and Erin K. LaPrad of Milford, MA; also four grandchildren: Callie Ahearn, Sydney Ahearn, Thomas LaPrad and Josephine LaPrad; his sister: Patricia Donnelly of Leominster, MA and Dunedin, FL; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Wednesday (January 8th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford, MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Milford, MA. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, January 7th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
