Mary S. (Perkins) Warner, 90, of Hopedale died in Worcester on Aug. 11, 2010. She was the wife of 67 years of Andrew C. Warner. Mrs. Warner is survived by four children; Andrew C. Warner Jr. and his wife, Beth Wells of Lincolnton, Ga., Mary (Warner) Skola and her husband Richard of Milford, John P. Warner of Washington, DC, and Anne E. Warner and her husband, Michael Ruscio of Merrimack, N.H.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, two brothers; John H. Perkins of New York and Robert P. Perkins of Wakefield and a sister, Jane Maroney of Wilmington, Del., and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Mary (Boland) Perkins and John H. Perkins, of Hamilton, Mass., where she was raised. Until recently, Mrs. Warner worked as a Receptionist at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Charlton, Mass. where she and her husband were long-time parishioners and friends of the church. A lifelong (and independent-minded) New Englander, Mrs. Warner and her husband always enjoyed their "drives" together, from Hopedale to Charlton for church, across town for errands, or around the countryside on a Sunday afternoon. A lover of animals, from the beloved family Irish Terrier that snuck into her wedding photos to the horses, ponies, farm cats, English Springer Spaniels, and therapy dogs that graced her life in the decades to follow, Mrs. Warner enjoyed nothing more than scratching a loving pet behind the ears and handing out treats to reward good behavior. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. in St. Josephs Catholic Church, 10H Putnam Ext., Charlton. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 10-11 a.m. prior to Mass. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in the name of Mary Warner may be made to St. Josephs Catholic Church, P. O. Box 338, Charlton City, MA 01508. Arrangements are under the direction of the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, Milford. www.bumafuneralhome.com

Andy, I will always remember working with mary at St. Joseph's.. She loved being at the parish and amswering the parish phone. For 20 years she came to work and made the parish community that much brighter. May God bless and reward her... If the world had more Mary Warners we would be that much better off. Love, Mike Gillespie
