Benjamin Scott
Sept. 8, 1947 - July 2, 2018
Benjamin Scott passed away at his home surrounded by family. Ben was born in Tiller, AR, then moved to Little Rock, AR, at an early age. He attended Horace Mann High School, afterwards joined the U.S. Army, serving in Berlin Germany. He was a quartet singer and musician for his brothers, "The Dixie Haronizers," and served as a member and Deacon at St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church, also the church pianist for over 30 years.
Ben is survived by his wife of 49 years, Emma L. Fairchild Scott; two daughters, Princess R. Scott & Kimberlyn R. (Corey) Williams, all of Modesto, CA; sisters, Nellie Mosley and Velma Esaw, both of Little Rock, AR; 4 grandsons, D'Markus, Krystofer, Tai-Run & Ja'Corey Williams, all of Modesto, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel C. and Bulah Thomas Scott; two sisters, and four brothers.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Kathy Christofer, Dr. A. Mojah and the Dublin Hospice.
Funeral service will be held on Thurs., July 12th at 10am at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 930 6th St. Modesto, CA.
