Blanca Salazar Cardona
July 29, 1955 - July 8, 2018
Blanca Salazar Cardona, left this world to be with her Heavenly Father July 8, 2018 at the age of 62 from Liposarcoma. She was born in Merced, CA to the parents of Octavio and Amparo Salazr. Her family moved to Modesto where she grew up and graduated from Modesto High School. Blanaca would meet the love of her life Eddie Cardona in 1993 and were married until her passing. She worked for the Salvation Army the past 15 years. Her passion was helping the poor, homeless and anyone in need. She was a very caring and loving person. Blanca's most valued treasures were her children, husband, her sisters along with her entire family. She was a strong woman of faith, she was a parishioner at St. Stanislaus Church. Her children remember her as a caring, humble woman and always full of love. Friends of her children were always welcomed with a hug and food to make them feel as if they were her own, which she referred to as her other children. Blanca always had an ear ready to listen and a shoulder to cry on no matter what the situation may be, her enjoyment was found in the kitchen where she spent most of her time, creating love through her meals. Although the family can not believe she is gone they are at peace knowing she is reunited with their Nana. We know it was such a sweet moment for them to be reunited and God needed her more than all of us. Our beloved Blanca is watching over all of us, loving us just the same, only from heaven. We will cherish the time we spent with her and look forward to seeing her again. She will be greatly missed by her family and also the family she created at the Salvation Army. Blanca was predeceased by her mother Amparo Salazar and son Steven Espino. Blanca is survived by her husband of 25 years, Eddie Cardona; her children Roger Castillo (Pamela), Albert Paida (Adrianna), Monica Norstrom (Billy), Nancy Castillo (Jessica), Carlos Espino Jr (Candie), Junior Cardona (Kristina), Ricardo Espino (Kelsey) and 20 grandchildren. Aslo survived by her two sisters Matha Suarez (Joe) and Dora Salazar (Isidro).
