John was survived by his wife, Marge; son David Derby of Oakdale; daughters Sherri Lopez. of S. Lake Tahoe and Sherril Brice of Cardiff by the Sea and preceded in death by his youngest son, Steven He was blessed with seven grandsons, one granddaughter and two great grandsons.
If it is your wish the family knows he would appreciate any donation going to Modesto Salvation Army Red Shield Center, P.O.Box 580480, Modesto, CA 95358.
