Lorenza "Moose" Dutton
Oct 28, 1954 - May 7, 2018
Moose was born to Lorenza and Carmella Dutton on 10-28-1954 in Modesto and went to be with the Lord in Oakdale on 5-7-2018.
He grew up in Riverbank and attended Riverbank schools where in high school he became interested in drama. This love followed him through out his life. First as back stage managers and on to acting in college productions. He worked for Campus Life building haunted houses and being Santa Claus. He continued to bring magic and believe into children of all ages as Santa Claus up until his death. As a history reenacter he was a member of the SCA, recreating the middle ages, misc black powder/Mountain men groups, Western gun fighting groups, President of the American Civil War Assc., The Lake Tahoe Renaissance Faire and most recently the Klamps where he was a member from Oct 1981 until his death.
He loved his family and leaves behind his wife of 37 years Deborah. Also his brother Peter Dutton (Vivien) and Fred Dutton (Alice). His sisters Jane Dutton and Julia Haidlen (Thomas). Along with his many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren, all of whom he treasured and loved above all else in his life. He was preceded in death by his father Lorenza Dutton, his mother Carmella Dutton, his brother Harvey Dutton and his sister Lorrean Hanks.
His memorial service will be held on May 23rd, 10:30am at River Oak Grace Community Church, 7712 Rodden Rd, Oakdale, Ca, with a reception following at The Oakdale Country Club, 234 Sterns Rd., Oakdale, Ca.
