Shannon Russell Schauer

Shannon Russell Schauer passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2018 at the age of 47. Shannon was born in El Paso, TX to Robert and Patty Schauer on November 24, 1970. Shortly after the birth of their son, the Schauer family settled in Modesto and Shannon has lived here his entire life. Shannon was preceded in death by his grandmother Doris Stambaugh and grandparents, Robert and Kathleen Schauer, of Modesto.
He leaves behind his grandfather Dale Stambaugh, of Modesto, his parents Robert & Patty Schauer of Modesto, his sister and brother in law, Christy and David Ray of Modesto, His loving wife Tamara Schauer and their children Jeremy, Cody, Robert, Nathan (Alicia), Julia, Jadyn, and three beautiful grandchildren Kaydence, Jrake, Everly, and his nephew Tyler and (Madison) Ray and his niece Jaime Ray all of Modesto, CA.
Shannon loved his family, he was a devoted father, son, brother, husband, grandfather and friend. Shannon was a baseball coach and spent countless hours, truly making a difference in the lives of kids. There are hundreds of children that benefitted from his leadership on the playing field. He invested in their lives and loved every moment that he contributed to the youth of our community. He was a hard worker and enjoyed working as a warehouse supervisor for W.W. Grainger, Inc. in Patterson, CA. In his down time he loved listening to music, enjoying a glass of wine, and taking a ride on his motorcycle. Shannon honorably served our country during Desert Storm in the United States Navy. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, he was an exceptional man.

Visitation is Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 9:00 AM located at Franklin & Downs Funeral Homes, 1050 McHenry Ave, in Modesto.
