Dr. Paul Caviale

Dr. Paul Caviale of Modesto, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the age of 67. He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Georgia Caviale. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-six years, Mary Caviale; children John Paul Caviale and Gina Angelina Caviale; and brother John Louis Caviale.
Dr. Caviale obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Medical Degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Saint Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas; a Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedics at the Alfred I. DuPont Institute, Wilmington, Delaware; and a Fellowship in Surgery of the Hand and Upper Extremities at the University of Tennessee Campbell Clinic.
Dr. Caviale has been a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon from 1986 until his death. He was Board Certified in Surgery of the Hand and Upper Extremities since 1992. Dr. Caviale was Chief of Staff at Stanislaus Surgical Hospital from 2005-2008. He served on both the Board of Councilors, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and, Board of Directors, California Orthopaedic Association from 2002-2008. He was on the Board of Governors of the Stanislaus Surgical Hospital since 2004. He also taught residents at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, California.
Dr. Caviale was licensed in the states of California, Nevada, Kansas, Wisconsin, and Texas.
In his spare time he enjoyed river rafting, fishing, reading, exploring, sailing and playing the guitar with his family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory are suggested to the Humane Society of Stanislaus County located at 1620 North Carpenter Road, Modesto, CA.
The viewing will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home's McHenry Chapel located at 1050 McHenry Avenue Modesto, CA.
The Funeral Service will take place the following day at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church located at 1200 Maze Blvd Modesto, CA on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 11:00am.
