It is with great pain and sadness that the family of Barbara Ann Girardi announces her passing after a short illness on Wednesday, June 13th surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New York City on April 30, 1938 to Grace and Richard Murray. Barbara leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Frank Girardi, her children, Frank Girardi III (Denise) and Diana Eriksen (Stein) along with four beautiful grandchildren, Grace, Faith, Alexander and Ava. Barbara also leaves behind her sister Marilyn and her bother Ray.
Barbara was a secretary at the New York Stock Exchange and while in California was a secretary for the U.S. Defense Depot in Tracy. She loved all sports, tennis, golf, bowling and she especially enjoyed camping. Throughout her life she created art, particularly oil paintings. As time went by she also enjoyed making stained glass lamps and other items for her loved ones. More than anything, Barbara enjoyed her family and adored her grandchildren. Even as she became ill, she would look forward to their visits. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Everyone she touched grew to love her, she never had a bad word for anyone and was never judgmental.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, June 22nd at 11:00 AM at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon. She will be laid to rest at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

We are deeply sorry to hear of the passing of Barbara, who I know as my aunt Barbara we may have not been blood related but we were still family . I have so many childhood memories of her and they are all good. I always remember having swimming parties and barbecuing and just family get togethers with her and my uncle frank. We did loose contact for quite some time but when we were reunited again when she came to my sons 1st birthday party it was like old times. She was a very caring person and always welcomed you. I will definitely miss her, but I'm glad she's not in any pain. My condolences to uncle frank, aunt Di Uncle Frankie and family. We love guys.
