MURIEL THOMPSON Obituary
Muriel was born June 23, 1910, in Hartford, Connecticut to William Henry and Edith Jackson Bolles. She came to Bullhead City from Cape Cod, Massachusetts in 2001.
Muriel was a true artist - she had to be creating, mainly in oils and acrylics, and also sculpturing. But she also loved to paint on furniture and clothing. She had an indomitable spirit and was the most thoughtful hostess to whomever came to visit. She also loved to travel and visit her friends and relatives. She will be dearly missed by all her knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, William; mother, Edith; husband, Ralph Thompson; three sisters, Phyllis Shapiro, Evelyn Elder, and Ethel Spencer; and her brother Watson Bolles.
Muriel is survived by her daughter, Lessandra (Roy) Grimley, whom she lived with in Fort Mohave; two sons, Philip Sigretto (Norma) of Las Vegas, Nev., and Stephen (Birgitte) Sigretto; six grandchildren, Joey, Chris, Christy, Ronnie, Connie and Don; one great-grandchild, Stephanie; and several nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Mohave Home Health and Hospice for the wonderful care they have given Mom, especially Cathy, Linda and René.
A memorial prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Mohave Valley Methodist Church, 1593 Lipan Blvd., Fort Mohave, AZ
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Muriel's name to the P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education, 3700 Grand Ave., Des Moines, Iowa 50312, or a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the care of Desert Lawn Funeral Home. Crematory & Memorial Gardens.
