It saddened my heart when I heard this news today. I have many fond memories of Doris. She made a huge impression in my life. She was just as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. I will never forget her. My love and prayers go out to Dana, LaDell and the whole family.

Doris was a special friend who I met in 1969. She was always happy and a lot of fun to be with. Doris, Lanora Hatter Henry and I were the three musketeers and always had fun. She is missed.

My favorite memory was walking Mrs. Messer down an isle at a wedding. She’s the sweetest there ever was. Keep flying through the stars Nanny!
