Ernest B. Armijo, age 71, a 63-year resident of Needles, Calif., passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021. He was born September 12, 1949 in Mesa, Ariz.
Ernest served in the US Army from 1969-1971. He worked as a Gas Control Mechanic for PG&E. Ernest was involved in all school activities with his three children. He was the Dedicatee for Homecoming in 1998-99. He attended all PTA activities for his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Sr. and Dora Armijo; sisters, Eunice Figueroa and Diana Armijo; brother, David Armijo; mother-in-law, Carmen Zavala; brother-in-law, Frank Zavala; sisters-in-law, Lolie Zavala, Rita Zavala and Irene Zavala.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Armijo of Needles, Calif.; son, Tony (Wayne Kruppner) Armijo of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters, Carrie (Scott) West of Las Vegas, Nev. and Mia Armijo of Needles, Calif.; brother, Edward (Sue) Armijo, Jr. of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Maria Zavala of Needles, Calif.; grandsons, Kale and Dade Rockwood of Needles, Calif., Cole and Deven West of Las Vegas, Nev.; granddaughters, Milan Armijo of Austin, Texas and Adyn Rockwood of Needles, Calif.; great-granddaughter, Alessandra Holmes of Austin, Texas.
Services were held at 9 am (CA time) on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Needles Riverview Cemetery.
Arrangements handled by Desert Lawn Funeral Home.
