FRANK "BUTCHIE" ZAVALA
Frank "Butchie" Zavala, age 90, a 90-year resident of Needles, California passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021. He was born on May 20, 1930.
He was in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. Frank was a postal custodian.
Frank was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Needles.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Vicente and Carmen Zavala; sisters, Lola Zavala, Rita Zavala, and Irene Zavala; and brother-in-law, Ernest Armijo.
Frank is survived by his sisters, Maria Zavala and Gloria Armijo, both of Needles; nephew, Tony Armijo (Wayne Kruppner) of Las Vegas, Nevada; nieces, Carrie West (Scott West) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Mia Armijo of Needles, California; great-niece, Milan Armijo of Austin, Texas; and great-nephews, Kale Rockwood and Dade Rockwood of Needles, California, Cole West and Deven West of Las Vegas, Nevada; great niece, Adyn Rockwood of Needles, California; and great-great niece, Alessandra Holmes of Austin, Texas.
Graveside services were held at 9:00 a.m.(CA time) on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Needles Riverview Cemetery with Father Anthony Bui of St. Ann Catholic Church officiating.
Funeral arrangements were under the care of Desert Lawn Funeral Home, 9250 S. Ranchero Lane, Mohave Valley, Arizona.
