Olliedine "Dina" Pasta, born Olliedine Odell, went peacefully to be with her savior on Friday, January 22, 2021. Olliedine was born to Virgil and Minnie Odell on August 3, 1947 in Pomona, California. She was one of four siblings, including sisters Mary Ann and Carolyn Sue, and brother Mike.
Olliedine was married for 43 years to Eugene Pasta "Grandpa Gene". She was a fantastic mother to five children, Cindy Ann Nelson, Michael Dennis Nelson, Anthony Eugene Pasta, Jennifer Lynn Pasta and Donald North (Nephew) she raised. She was a grandmother to 11 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren.
1 Corinthians 13 tells us that love is patient and kind. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. This world does not offer much in the way of certainty. However, one thing that is without question or doubt, is that Olliedine loved her family fiercely, she was always on your side, but always willing to lovingly tell you when you were in the wrong. Her love bore all things, believed all things, hoped all things, and endured all things. She could never be convinced that her loved ones were anything less than the greatest treasure to be had.
The sun seems darker without her here, but we all hold fast to the knowledge that we will see her smiling face again. Above the clouds, her body made brand new and her suffering cast to the winds, she waits for us. To her family, in her honor, I tell you that Jesus loves you, Mom/Grandma/Great-Grandma loved you and did everyday of your life. We count the days until we see you again, we will keep looking up and keep holding on to that blessed hope, to hold you in our arms again with our savior, on streets of solid gold.
