Juana Wagner Obituary

Juana Lippmann Wagner
March 7, 1939 ~ April 22, 2013
A mi Tesoro – Mein Liebling, mein schatzie!

CORRAL DE TIERRA – My lovely Juana was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the first child of Walter and Martha Kahn Lippmann. Speaking German at home and learning Spanish in the school system and neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, you came to New York in 1961 to begin a new way of life.
Your mother and brother arrived somewhat later in New York, where you maintained a wonderfully loving relationship with both. While you loved New York City, you also spent a few years off and on in San Francisco, as mother and brother were now living there. It was there in March of 1981 that I met you, the most loving and caring woman with a most vibrantly alive personality.
Juana, your career was varied, but your most special four career moments were working for Overseas National Airways (O.N.A.) as a Stewardess Supervisor throughout the 60s and 70s. Then in the mid-80s, lo and behold, you wanted to go into business for yourself and we (you) opened one of the earliest and successful real coffee houses on the San Francisco Peninsula, and you did choose a great name – "Coffee Renaissance". Juana, fashion was your forté and you proudly opened in 1990 in Ghirardelli Square, San Francisco, a sensational upscale woman's fashion shop. You then topped off your career moves by operating a small vending (snacks, drinks, etc.) business in the San Francisco Bay Area, including the Peninsula and East Bay. So proudly and courageously you started and with much success ran these businesses from only an intuitive approach and with a lot of common sense. What a business woman!
Let's not forget, that being the Renaissance woman you were, you had a great appreciation of really enjoying classic automobiles, owning your own motorcycle in the 70s, being one of the first woman Concours d'Elegance automobile judges in California, and so proudly for me you became "the racer's wife". I can never forget that great picture of you in that red racing jumpsuit.
Juana, you're being survived by your everlovin' husband of 32 years, your Brucie; your brother, Mario Lippmann of Lafayette; your children, Brian Anthony Wagner (Julie) of Fresno, Regina Lynn Reid (Eric) of Occidental, and Sandra Joyce Rizzetto of San Bruno; your grandchildren, McKayla Nicole Wagner and Hudson Hawk Wagner, Madelyne Desereé Reid and Gavin William Reid and Jaden Timothy Rizzetto.
At your request, there will be no service, but maybe just a small remembrance party of family and close friends soon, if I may, my Sweetheart. You told me that in lieu of flowers, "Please give a big hug to your favorite dog or cat or family members".
Juana, my Sweetheart, you are always with me and I will always love you!
My sincerest thank you for the loving care given my Juanita by Dr. Nancy Rubin and all the staff at Pacific Cancer Care and for that same loving care shared by the Central Coast VNA Hospice.
