Hans Welter Doelman passed away peacefully on September 27, 2014, due to Alzheimer's related complications.
A celebration of his life will take place on November 1st at 1:30 pm at the home of Jan and Nicole Doelman at 195 Upper Walden Road in Carmel.

What an empty space in this world without the genuine kindness and compassion we all enjoyed when Hans was near !He always was available and willing to assist those in need.such a loss of a rare and dear man .

Sending condolences and memories of a warm friendship from Hans to my mother - Ellen Steensma. He was always a friendly and kind man to a fellow European living and raising a family in Monterey. Although Ellen passed away 3 years ago, I am sure she would have wanted Han's family to know that he was a gentle and good friend, and would be missed.

Rest in peace, Hans. We shared fellowship in both Naval Postgraduate School Toastmasters and the Carmel Ski Club. Those are fond memories.
