CARMEL, CA
Jeanne Bellmer, age 93, passed away on October 3, 2014. She was married for 71 years to Harmon Bellmer, who preceded her in death in 2012.
Jeanne Bellmer attended the College of Arts and Crafts from 1938 to 1940, and the Livingston School of Design from 1940 to 1941. She was a highly regarded watercolor painter whose work was collected, shown and honored in the U.S. and beyond. She moved to Carmel in 1965, joined the Carmel Art Association and was an active member whose love and passion for the beauty of nature and the power of art were steadfast.
Jeanne Bellmer is survived by her children, son, Don Bellmer (Susan Stauter); daughter, Diane Bellmer Lucido; granddaughters, Jamie (Dave Adams), Joleane (Diego Scott); and great granddaughter, Kate Adams.

I was so sorry to hear about Jeanne's passing. I've known Jeanne and the family since the mid-sixties and fondly remember those summer visits in Ben Lomond. Her paintings throughout my home will always be a reminder of the wonderful person she was. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I had only met Harmon and Jeanne a few times, but my father H.C.Capwell was a life long freind. I had taken him to visit them a few years before his death. My thoughts are with the family. David Capwell
