Mr. Johnnie Jackson, 70, a resident of Montgomery, AL was called to eternal rest on Sunday, February 17, 2013. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM from Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 452 Cramer Ave., Montgomery, AL with Rev. J.D. McFarland, officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Serenity Gardens. Mr. Jackson will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Louis C. and Josephine Jackson; two brothers, Elder Louis C. Jackson and Jack C. Jackson; and two sisters, Annie Jackson and Joanne Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 44 years, Catherine D. Jackson; two daughters, Denise Jetton and Joyicc Jackson Williams, Montgomery, AL and a son, Johnnie Jackson, II, Atlanta, GA; a sister, Edna Jackson-Manora, Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Brittany Jetton, Montgomery, AL, Brandy (Matt) Houck, Okinawa, Japan and Jada Jackson, Montgomery, AL; great-grandchildren, Cameron Jetton, Montgomery, AL, Joshua Houck and Hayden Houck, Okinawa, Japan; mother-in-law, Celia Dudley, Uniontown, AL; brothers-in-law, John Dudley, Birmingham, AL and Eddie (Pauline) Turner, Birmingham, AL; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Jackson, Montgomery, Al and Thelma Turner, Birmingham, AL; two aunts, Christine Jackson, Charleston, SC and Selonia Jackson, Jacksonville, FL; special friends, Otis Buford, Bernard Bedgood, Norris Glover, Ben Kemp, Morris "Butch" Tucker, all of Montgomery, AL and the BTW Class of '61.

My Brother Jonnie Jackson, you were one of the three “Big Brothers” Otis Buford and Robert Fuller who insured that the “Magnificent 7 “crossed the burning sands of Omega Psi Phi Inc.
