ANNIE GUNTER Obituary

GUNTER, Annie Laurie Cain, a long-time resident of Montgomery, AL, died Saturday, July 9, 2005 at her residence. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church on Wednes-day, July 13, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Dale Huff and the Reverend Robert Wisnewski offi-ciating. Burial will follow at Oak-wood Cemetery. Mrs. Gunter was preceded in death by her husband Dr. William Adams Gunter III. Survi-vors include her son, William Ad-ams Gunter IV and his wife, Avis Brannon Gunter, two grandchil-dren, William Adams Gunter V and Anne Withers Gunter and their mother, Alice Davis Gunter; a broth-er, Roger Cain and his wife, Joyce of Lake Wales, FL; a sister, Dorothy Cain Halas of Key Largo, FL; three sisters-in-law, Virginia Cain of Lake Wales, FL; Ida Pearl Cain of La-fayette, AL; and Elizabeth Gunter Downey of Jacksonville, NC. Pall bearers will be Thomas S. Lawson III, Bruce Downey III, Oliver Haynes III, William Haynes, George Jordan, Bruce Rinehart and John M. (Bu-bba) Trotman. Honorary pall bear-ers will be Will Hill Tankersley, Rich-ard Kirksey, Robert E. Stabler, and Clark Walker. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Building Fund or St. John's Episcopal Church Building Fund. Southern Memorial Directing.
