GASTON, Mrs. Sarah Lewis, age 92, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on April 7, 2014 after an extended illness in Atlanta, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 204 at 12:00 PM at Clay Street Baptist Church with Minister Murphy Green, officiating. Interment will follow in Kindle Cemetery with the staff of Phillips-Riley Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral services. She leaves to cherish her memories, four sons, James (Bertha) Gaston, George (Julia) Gaston of Montgomery, AL, Billy Gaston, Oklahoma City, OK, Alvin (Charlotte) Gaston, Ellenwood, GA; four daughters, Rosa (Roosevelt) Williams, East Point, GA, Sarah (Bobby) Sankey, College Park, GA, Phetrilla Manning, Albuquerque, NM, Shirley (Michael) Parks, Montgomery, AL; one devoted brother, Lee (Novella) Lewis, Schertz, TX; one loving sister, Hattie Cannon, Hayneville, AL; two sister-in-laws, Mary Lewis, Hayneville, AL, Ola Mae Stewart, Portsmouth, NH; twenty-seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Albert E. Lester and staff for over 20 years of compassionate care and Reliable Health & Rehab Center in Atlanta, GA for their loving care of our mother. Mrs. Gaston was member of the Cleveland Heights Pride Chapter #247 Order of Easter Star, P.H.A.
