Obituary Condolences

Kosick, Annie Sue Atkins, age 79, of Millbrook, passed away June 15, 2014 at the Angels for the Elderly in Montgomery, AL.

She will be greatly missed by her sisters, Helen A. Williams of Millbrook, AL and Betty A. Willingham of Leeds, AL. Also surviving her are a son, Mark Melton, Albany, KY; brothers, James Doyle Atkins, Equality, AL and Larry Atkins (Jan) of McCalla, AL, six nephews and one niece, many friends and family.

Her parents preceded her in death, Cooper and Judy Atkins, brother, Jim Atkins and her husband, CMSGT John Kosick. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Millbrook, AL, a devoted member of her Prayer Group. She served several volunteer organizations during her husband's 30 years in the Air Force all over the U. S. and overseas, including hospitals, Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, Maxwell Pharmacy and her church Welcome Center.

A brief graveside service on June 17, 2014 at 11 AM will be held at McDade Cemetery at Carbon Hill, Alabama where she was born and raised. She finished school there in 1954.

In lieu of flowers, make donations to the First United Methodist Church, 3350 Edgewood Road, Millbrook, AL 36054 or McDade Cemetery Association, 4566 Beach Grove Road, Carbon Hill, AL 35549. Special Thanks to Susan and Kim at Angels.
