Christian sympathy and human concern is extended to the family of Mrs. Thelma M. Glass. She was such a great educator, person and leader. I would often have conversations with her when I was a student at ASU and organist at St. John's Church. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Glass was the epitome of a great teacher. I recall my years at Alabama State and a student in her World Geography class. She brought enlightenment to every lecture. She was always dressed to the nines. She took pride in sharing her wealth of knowledge. I used to call her from time to time after I graduated from State to let her know how much I really appreciated her genuine spirit. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and Alabama State University. -Graduate of Class of 1981.

The good Lord has called another one of his saints home to receive her well deserved reward. I am just so thankful and blessed that Mrs. Glass and my paths crossed. The visits and the telephone conversations to her will be greatly missed. So I will end as we always ended, “I love you.”

At times life is hard, as hard as crucible steel. It has its bleak and painful moments. Hearing of the demise of the greatest and most outstanding teacher ever to grace the academic halls of ASU, this was a painful moment for me. But through it all, God is able - and will transform dark and desolate valleys into sunlit paths of inner peace. Thelma will always be in my spirit. Dr. Charles W. To the Mrs. Glass family she was real Blessing to my life in so many ways. She gave me a reality check my Freshman year at ASU that I am graceful to this day for love for me when I though I know it all at the ripe old age of 18 years old. She showed me how to use the love and respect my mother taught me for myself and others. For that I am graceful for our pass ways crossing. She taught me a lifetime lesson in one hour. Mother Glass life was well lived. "Take Her To The King! "
