I am in tears to find out that George had passed. He was a great friend and a fun person to be around at Eastbrook. I loved him dearly but I had not seen him for couple of years. I am heart broken but blessed that he was in my life for about 15 years.

Firstly, I want to send my condolences to George's biological family, his AG family, and his Eastbrook Antique/flea market family as he spoke highly of all. I hope your wonderfully funny memories of George bring you comfort while you mourn a great loss.
George and I met in high school and have had our lives cross throughout the years. His beautiful smile and infectious personality was always a welcomed sight. I am terribly upset to hear of his unexpected death. It saddens me greatly that I heard of it after his services, as I would have been there to show respect and support of my friend and his family/friends. I'll miss George and his beautiful smile, and will continue looking for his Baldwin license plate among the clean, blue trucks around Montgomery. Thanks to B. Dunn for posting the photo of him of smiling. That's a keeper!

George was not just a great supervisor, but a hilarious co-worker and a genuine friend. I only known him just a little over a year, but it felt like years. Beginning working with him at the Dept. of AGI, General Services, we found out that our mothers (Mrs. Norris & Carrie Evans) worked together at Fairview Medical Center formally St. Jude Hospital. It was almost like a family reunion talking about all the people we both knew and the things that went on at Fairview Medical Center. George loved his family including Dept. of AGI, all his jobs (lol) and he was oh so proud of his Girls. He had this thing at work where he started calling me Norris and I would call him Baldwin, which I will truly missed. Baldwin, Im going back to the gym (Kershaw YMCA) which you encouraged me to do. You will be truly missed, but I know that youre watching over ALL OF US. Baldwin, I know youre ready for the Heavenly Super Bowl Celebration!!!! Lastly remember.. A Family that Prays Together Stays Together & hold the memories close to your Heart. Keep Holding On To Gods Unchanging Hands!

George was a bright light in this world! He loved his family, his God, his friends and the Auburn Tigers! I enjoyed working with him at the Dept. of Agriculture for 7 years and he always had a smile for everyone he came in contact with along with a helping hand wherever he was needed. This world has lost a fine man - shine on my friend, shine on! Here's one last WAR EAGLE buddy! My prayers are with his family, coworkers and friends .

George was a great friend, employee, hard worker, loving family man. Just an all around sweet person! He always promised me that if I went to the nursing home, he would come feed me pie. Then he would laugh and say money will get you anything. Oh how I loved him! All the vendors at Eastbrook did. I sure will miss him!

George was my friend, he had a huge heart, and brought a light to everyone in our workplace. He was an incredible human being, and my heart breaks for his family. Losing someone as special and loving as George, the pain is unbearable. Hearing George tell the stories of his girls, his grandchildren, you could tell how much he valued and adored them. We adore them. Please know our hearts will always be with you.
