Of Varennes on July 9, 2017, surrounded by family, Claudette Savaria, horticulturist and recipient of the Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers, passed away. Beside her husband, Robert Caron, she leaves to mourn her children Robert-Jonathan, Ashley-Anne (Rémi Bureau), her grandchildren Laurie and Thomas, her mother Carmelle Baril Savaria, her brother, her sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, as well as many relatives and friends. The family will receive condolences at:

Friday, July 14 from 2-5 and 7-10 p.m. and Saturday from 9 - 10:30 a.m. The funeral will take place Saturday, July 15 at 11 a.m. at l'église Sainte-Famille, 560 boul. Marie- Victorin, Boucherville and thence to the Boucherville Cemetery. You may express your sympathy through a donation to la Maison de soins palliatifs Source Bleu or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Our deepest condolences to Claudette's family. I knew her for 40 years; her friendship was always cherished and she will always be in our thoughts. Our yearly camping gatherings hold a special place in our lives and we always enjoyed her kindness and zest for life.
