VAN GINHOVEN, Huibert, C. J. 1926 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Huibert C. J. van Ginhoven, aged 91 years, retired Minister of the United Church of Canada, on December 13, 2017 at the Maison Au Diapason in Bromont. He leaves behind him his wife of nearly 62 years, Anke (born Visser), his sons, Martin (Hélène) and Quentin (Annie) and his granddaughters (Charlotte and Mia). The family will receive condolences on Saturday January 13, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Désourdy Funeral Home 31 Main Street South, Sutton (Qc) J0E 2K0 www.desourdy.ca [email protected] A brief tribute will be shared at 3:00 p.m. We extend our appreciation to the staff and management of the palliative care center for their support and kindness. Donations may be made in memory of Huibert to the Maison Au Diapason. Forms available at the funeral home or audiapason.org

Hubert officiated our marriage in 1982 during his ministry in Lacolle. We have very fond memories of Hubert. We remember him today, a very kind and caring man with a wonderful sense of humour. Our condolences to his family.

Dear Mrs. Van Ginhoven and Family, You have my sincere condolences in Hubert's passing. I didn't know him very well, but whenever I met him in Montreal when I was a student for the ministry, I always found him pleasant. He had a warm smile. May God bless you and keep you as you wait to meet again.

Dear Brother,
You will be missed by myself and Truus my wife.
We grew up together in stages.
The first time we met I was 8 and our Mom said this is your brother Huib.
After this meeting we grew very close and I have always
been happy with your fatherly advice and suggestions.
I know you will rest in piece as you were totally accepting your fate when we last met in Cowansville hospital.
Many thanks for all your efforts into our lives and goodbye dear brother sleep well.
