1927 - 2012
It is with profound sadness that we announce, after a sudden and brief illness, the death of our dearly beloved brother Sam, on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the age of 84. He is predeceased by his parents Martha and Frank, his two brothers Antonio (Tony) and Frank Jr. (Frankie). He leaves to mourn his three sisters Philomena (the late George Vallis), Rose (Ron Mancini) and Margaret (Michael Szep), his two sisters-in-law Marcelle and Suzanne, his nephews and nieces Wayne (the late Letizia Brescia), Allana (Gérard Modica), Diane, Michel and Cindy. Also survived by many friends and family in Montreal and the U.S.A. We wish to thank Dr. Roy, the nurses and aides at the Verdun Hospital, for their care and compassion over the last 6 weeks. Resting at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 2125 Notre-Dame, Lachine (514-639-1511). Visitation on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2012 from 9 a.m. Funeral service at Resurrection of Our Lord, 34, 34th Avenue, Lachine on Friday, June 22 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, mass offerings or a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Uncle Sammy, I have no words to express the emotions I am feeling at this time. You were a constant figure in my life from day 1. You taught me to appreciate music and westerns and you have left me with many memories that I will hold close to my heart forever. I know you are up there in heaven reunited with your brothers, playing cards with my dad and enjoying a round of golf once again. Love always, Allana

My Uncle Sam, when thinking of you many thoughts come to mind. Your love for the finer things in life, playing pitch and catch with a hardball and no mitt, appreciation of music and select choices of literature. Many cherished memories never to be forgotten. Your first nephew, Wayne.
