Peacefully, on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at the age of 78. Beloved husband, father and grandfather Stephen Allen Azeff. He will be mourned by the love of his life Linda Sharon (Friedman) Azeff, his teenage sweetheart and wife of 54 years and by their 3 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, Brian and Caelie, Mark and Annie and Paul and Oana. Steve lived for and found joy in his many grandchildren Jeremy, Jessica, Vanessa, Zoë, Tom and Lou. A consummate family man he surrounded himself with his children and grandchildren at every opportunity with Linda always at his side. He was adored by all of his family including his brother Robert and his wife Shelly and his brother-in-law and sister-in- law Sue and Fred Lipes. Cherished uncle of Liza, Michael, Jill and Ian and Lee and Debbie. Steve fought with courage and dignity for the last year of his life with ALS and the family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Montreal Neurological Institute and the Jewish General Hospital. A special thank you to Mitchell Denbow, who has been part of the Azeff family for over 40 years, for his special attention and care during the last year of Steve's life. He will be missed by his many friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Sunday, January 8 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Beit Abraham Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at 6800 Macdonald (party room), from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
