In her ninety-first year, on Thursday, October 20, 2011. Zelda is now with her beloved husband, Norman and their cherished firstborn, Aileen Tenenbaum. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Leona and Bernie Ship, Ben-Ami and Tina Tenenbaum, Lotte and Philip Manel, Sheryl and Ervin Weinberger. She delighted in her beautiful grandchildren, Harold and Keren Ship, Donna and Jeff Bondy, Danny and Jessica Ship; Laurence Tenenbaum, Alisa and Randy Levitt; Jason and Shari Manel, Alison Manel, Mark Manel; Ian Weinberger and Uri Weinberger; and great-grandchildren, Chananya Ship, William and Lily Bondy, Shivam Ship, Maya and Jonah Manel. They were inspired by her exceptional love of life, her stories and her wisdom. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Leah and the late Ben Schwam, Miriam and the late Fred Samuels. Predeceased by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Beynush and Taybe Tanenbaum, Rivka and Solomon Reichstein, Harry and Lilly Tannenbaum. Zelda will be sadly missed by her devoted nieces, nephews, family and friends. A generous and open-hearted spirit, she lit up a room with her warmth, humour and elegance. At The Waldorf, she was known for her enthusiasm, wisdom and participation, and will be missed by all.
