Dear Kevin and family,
So sad to hear the news of Glen's passing. Mom just called me to let me know and we are both heartbroken. Glen was such a rock for me personally when Dad passed suddenly back in '78. They were best of friends all thru their TCA, AC days and I was lucky enough to work at PVM with the both of them back when I first started at AC in '68. Such a happy go lucky guy, always with a great quip, and that big perma grin always plastered on his visage. He will be sorely missed by all who had the great fortune to know him. Once again, my sincere condolences to you and all the family.

Although I have never met any of you, your Dad, Grandad was an amazing man with a zest for all he did. He was a funny, spirtited man and I will remember that he cared deeply for all the things in his life. I am thinking of all of you and will remember Glen with fond memories of his time officiating in canoe kayak and being a great friend! Take care of one another and hold your memories close to your heart.

My condolences for your loss. Glenn was a fixture in our sport. I knew him when I was an athlete in the 70s, and as a coach in the 80s and 90s. He always made me laugh, trying to prod something or another out of me, and always kept me on my toes (with a smile). He was a great friend to my father, Murray, serving together in various paddling volunteer roles. We will all miss him.

My condolences. Glen was a fixture at national canoeing championships and selection trials. He set a standard as an official and volunteer that everyone strived to attain. He was fair, decisive and focussed on what was good for the athlete, which as a Chief Official was essential. I am honoured to have known Glen, and to have had a chance to work with him both as an official and at the CCA board and national team committee.

To Maureen and family,
I knew your dad mostly by his astounding reputation in the world of canoeing. I spoke to him only a few months ago and he made me feel like I was the only person in the world he wanted to be chatting with! He asked about Tom and about CKC and assured me that he was coping well with the difficulties he was faced with. What a gentleman!
My sincere condolences ,

Glen had a wonderful sense of humor and made people feel welcome. I remember when he first met Anne M. He said " I would recognize you by your legs". Even when his sight diminished he would know his friends by their voices. It was a treat to have know you, Glen. Godspeed.

Glen was a big personality in the sport of canoeing for decades. His love of the sport was evident. I have fond memories of Glen's encouraging comments to me when the CCA officials did not see me cross the finish line at the 1970 Canadian Championships. "Per aquas as fraternitatem"

I have many fond memories of both Glen and Doreen....Glen worked with my father, and was a frequent visitor to our family's kitchen for coffee. Doreen was always so kind to me. For a couple of years I taught her guitar, on Tuesday nights...she was a very good pupil and learned to play a couple of Frank Sinatra songs on the guitar!
Keep good memories always, Kevin and Maureen....Sincere sympathies from the LeBlanc Family.
