Steve was my football coach way back when. He was so much fun and a great passer during our practices. Then later on, he supported my brother Phil as a poet by producing many poetry nights in downtown Montreal. He was a great guy. We loved him!

I have never met a person that did not like the Gimper. He was always fun to be around, but most important, he always made you feel at home, that you counted, that you were special! Fondest memories of him and his kindness.

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the Hart family in the loss of Stephen. He was a gentle man of kindest manners, with a rare, finely-tuned muse and intellect. Though an accomplished, savvy entrepreneur and attorney, he found a greater joy in giving back in many ways. There was his subtle, endearing gesture; a complex problem solved upon long reflection; a brilliant political solution; or a practical realization of a cooperative group venture; or an unforgettable, transforming, fun adventure! After decades of acquaintance with the Hart family,(which is more aptly named 'Comet Hart'), Stephen's loving dynamic spirit, joy and humor, and selfless actions will be forever remembered by many special friends, and fellow-travelers, in great gratitude. Thank you, Stephen, for your generosity of spirit that will continue for generations.

Dear Lindsay, Please know I am truly sorry you lost your a Dad, Stephen. When I first met you in your early days as an agent, I remember thinking he was lucky to have you as a loving daughter.
Your Dad and I knew each other in MRHS days and I knew how street smart he was...probably the most street smart guy and very good looking! He had a large and friendly personality and was well liked. We were not surprised when he chose to become a lawyer.
May Dad's soul live on through your kindness and good deeds. Wishing you and your family no more sorrow.

My deepest condolences to the Hart family and loved ones. The last time I saw Stephen was up north at Christmas time a few years ago and we were all having a spirited game of trivial pursuit around a cozy fire. Stephen was so sharp and great fun to compete with. I didn't know him well but I'm glad to have met him. Much love.

My deepest condolences to the Hart Family and all those who loved him. You don't need to be told what a great person Steve was. Mr. Hart was warm, kind, funny, compassionate, generous and above all the best "Boss"; all words that describe, but don't even begin, to tell the story of who Steve was. He was a light of goodness and brought joy to so many people. I will cherish my memories. Always remembered, never forgotten.
