Gabrielle BODIS

BODIS, Gabrielle March 21, 1933 - October 10, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gabrielle Bodis. Predeceased by her husband Emery Kiss. Born in Ujvarfalva (Hungary) to her parents Jozsef Bodis and Jolan Neumayer. Madame Bodis was the first woman to graduate from the Polytechnique as electrical engineer. Retired from Hydro Quebec after 35 years. She will be missed by Victoria Naday her godchild and many friends at the Hungarian church and her Ignatian community. Gaby was a very generous and caring person who gave generously to feeding children at local schools and helping refugees. Always willing to give a helping hand where needed. She was grateful for all she had and understood what it was like to be a refugee. Big thank you to the staff of the second floor at Floralies Lasalle for the wonderful care they gave to Gaby. In lieu of flowers a donation to Generations Foundation Montréal. Thank you to the pastoral care persons who visited her. The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Hungary Church, 90 Guizot West, Montréal, Québec, H2P1L4, on Friday October 20, 2017 at 11 a.m.
