After a courageous battle with brain cancer, Heather Gibbs passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 8th at the Montreal Neurological Institute surrounded by her family. She was 75. Devoted wife of Harry, cherished daughter of Freda and the late Ross. Beloved sister to June (Calvin), Elaine (Mark), Ken (Cherry), Carolyn (Graham) and Martin (Laura). Deeply missed by her children Lori (Evan), Brock (Anne) and Chris (Martine). Proud Nana to Matthew, Riley, Charley and Owen. Also loved by Rebecca, Dylan and Felix. A proud volunteer at the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence, Heather enjoyed her lunches with “the Rendez-vous Club” and was an avid gardener and decorated member of the Hudson Garden Club. Visitation will take place on Friday April 20th from 4pm to 10pm at the F. Aubry & Fils Funeral Home, 434 Main Road in Hudson. A funeral service will be held on Saturday April 21st at 10am at Wyman United Church, 513 Main Road in Hudson. The family will receive visitors starting at 9:30am at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence Foundation (www.mspvs.org/en/).
