Dear Lipsin family,

I just saw this on this announcement on the Brady Lorain blog and would like to offer my condolences on the passing of Art Lipsin.
I had the privilege of working for Art and Alice at Jax every night after high school duringv1963-64. I remember interviewing for the job when the store was still in South Lorain.

Art was a wonderful person and I owe all my sense of style and fashion to him. Spending my life in the entertainment industry, emulating his sense of style made all the difference in the world.

Sending condolences to Mr. Lipsin's family. I went to school with Merle and we both graduated from LHS. Mr. Lipsin certainly led a long and wonderful life.

Dear Merle, Scott and Family,
Fran joins me in extending condolences to you and your family on the passing of your father. One of his goals during our 9 years in Lorain (1977-1986) was to make me the best dressed rabbi he could. It was always pleasant to be in his company. He would read the prophetic reading at the Yom Kippur morning English service with remarkable feeling and understanding. His good deeds and warm friendship will live on for many years. May God who comforts all who mourn grant you and your family consolation among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Merle, Scott and family, we were so sorry to hear about Art. We aren't surprised that he lived until 100 years old though. He was such an intelligent man. Always reading and still working out at LCCC until his mid 90's. We will miss our sweet neighbor. Becky, Dave, Jeremy & Daniel Bickel

He would grab the collar of my shirt (while i was wearing it) to see the tag. Is that a Van Heusen or a Gant ?
