I just learned of Amanda's death in the Marquette Alumni magazine. She was a lovely friend early at Marquette. We spent a lot of nights freshman year studying World History. I remember her as a kind and warm person. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I had a spinal cord injury in 2019 and Amanda was my physical therapist before she went on leave to have her daughter. She was always nice and fun to be around and work with. She taught me so much in the short amount of time we worked together. She will truly be missed by myself and so many others who lives she impacted. To her husband and children I give my deepest condolences and I will be praying for you.

We could not have asked for a kinder, more thoughtful, and loving daughter-in-law.
Amanda made Jim happy as they did lots of fun things together. They carved pumpkins at Halloween, went to the Indian's games, took walks, and baked cookies.
Amanda loved her daughters with all of her heart and spent as much time as she could with them.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and daughter-in-law. We will miss her.

She lived life well, embracing all that it had to offer. I am saddened that we will have no more adventures together, but grateful for the ones we had.

I will always remember Amanda as the liveliest dancer at her wedding just a few short years ago. She clearly knew how to enjoy life and the family knew our cousin, Jim, had done a great job of finding a wonderful wife. She was someone who left her impression on the world with both her work and her personal charm and grace. We are all deeply grieved that she left her young family so soon and send love to Jim and the girls.

Amanda was such a lovely, delightful addition to the family when my nephew, Jim, married her. Her sunny, upbeat personality; her devotion to her young family; and her personal warmth were outstanding. She will be missed. Dorothy Jeffres

Amanda was one of the first coworkers to welcome me at metro and our friendship continued to grow the more I got to know her. The fun we had on the volleyball courts was endless and no matter if we were winning or loosing Amanda was always positive! She was the friend who showed up with a 6 pack of beer for my husband after our first baby was born and sat with me while I cried from exhaustion with a baby who didn’t sleep. She didn’t leave, but sat with me and helped me give my baby a bath. Amanda was thoughtful, caring, dedicated and a person that brought joy to every situation. Her courage over this last year as she fought for one more day with her loved ones will leave a lasting impact on my life. The talks texts and prayers we shared during her battle are wonderful memories that I will hold close. Her last text to me Tuesday was a heart and praying hands and I will continue to hold Amanda close in my heart until we meet again.
Love you friend!

Amanda was a brilliant physical therapist and was always willing to freely advise and instruct me, especially when I started working on the SCI floor with her. I learned precise physical therapy skills from Amanda and witnessed her kindness and compassion toward her patients and co-workers. MetroHealth was blessed to have Amanda work for fifteen years there as a physical therapist. I will forever remember Amanda’s faith, courage and perseverance during her final year here on earth. Amanda will never be forgotten and may the inspiration she showered among so many remain forever within us.

"What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget"

I have very fond memories of Marquette alumni club events with Amanda, from service projects to cheering on the men’s basketball team. We shared the Ignatian spirit
of “men for others”. Rest In Peace Amanda and peace be with your family.

Since we met 20 years ago...i have always looked up to you as the kindest person I had ever met. Never an ill word to say about anyone. I'll never understand why you had to go through this trial...we watched you fight with such courage and strength. Our last text from you was one week ago and you were setting up appointments for the next course of action, always fighting. You are in a place to watch over your sweet husband and girls and they have a perfect angel. We love and miss you always. We will miss our fellow "QDP" member and yearly get togethers ❤

Amanda was like no other. One of the kindest, most fiercely independent, and driven people I have ever known. Amanda would have done anything for her friends and her family. She didn’t have a mean bone in her body. She was part of my family. I am absolutely heartbroken but am comforted knowing she is no longer in the pain that she didn’t deserve to be in. I hated that she suffered from cancer. Damn cancer.
In 2 short weeks Amanda would have had a birthday. We plan to celebrate. We will have cake to celebrate Amanda and her awesomeness. She would want us to celebrate. She would want us to be happy. Because that was Amanda. She wanted people to be happy.
We will make sure her beautiful girls and Jim know they are loved like Amanda would have wanted.
We will forever remember you, Amanda!! We love you so much.
