Michael J. McClean Obituary
On February 10, 2018 Michael J. McClean's beautiful soul left his earthly dwelling, to begin the next chapter in his spiritual journey.
He was born June 26, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Ohio in 1966. The last place he called home was Sheffield Lake.
He was a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School where he found his love of football.
Mike retired from Ford Motor Company after 41 years.
He was a true Cleveland Browns fan and shared his love for the game with his boys.
He also loved golfing, reading and all types of music.
A nature lover, Mike enjoyed watching the deer visit in the backyard, humming birds in the summer, and the Big Dipper cross the night sky on his front porch with loved ones.
Most of all, He cherished his family and friends, enjoying good times and eating good food with them.
Mike had an infectious laugh, was full of life and young at heart.
He will be missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
He leaves behind his loving wife and soul mate, Cathy (nee-McCormick); sons, Mikie Jr., Steve, Jason (Stephanie) and Kevin (Erika); step sons, Alec Miller and Joshua Gibson (Meredith); grandchildren, Braden, Marlee and Liam; also many loving nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Michael and Dorothy (nee-Winters) McClean; his sisters Mickey and Joan; and first wife Donna.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Amherst Eagles Club, 1161 Milan Ave. Amherst, OH 44001.
May he rest in peace, knowing how his spirit, love and selfless ways touched every person who met him. We'll meet you on the other side.
