Sandra L. (Skodney) Sadowski Obituary
LORAIN - Sandra L. Sadowski (nee Skodney), 73, of Lorain, died Sunday February 11, 2018 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a five-year illness.
She was born June 18, 1944 in Lorain and had been a lifelong resident of Lorain.
Sandra graduated with the first graduation class of Admiral King High School in Lorain in 1962 and attended the Lorain Institute of Cosmetology.
She owned and operated Sandy's Style Salon in Lorain where she worked as a Licensed Cosmetologist and Manager. She also worked at several local salon's in Lorain though the years. In addition, Sandy did hair at several nursing homes throughout the area.
She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed casino trips, shopping, polka dancing, attending church picnics, traveling, playing bingo and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years Tim Sadowski; daughter Veronica Freeman-Morris O'Connor (Bill) of Amherst; son Brian Morris of Lorain; stepson Scott Sadowski of Lorain; stepdaughter Chantel Nichols (John) of Ontario, Canada; grandchildren Lexi and Colin; step grandchildren, Christine, Zachary, Anthony, Jacob, Christopher, Maryann, Shayne and Ebany; sister Judith Skodney Greuter (Robert) of Amherst and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Michael Skodney in 1972; mother Helen Skodney-Lasky (nee Jasinski) in 1995; stepfather Albert Lasky in 2003; and sisters, Sharon Skodney Barlick in 1992 and Carol Skodney Siwierka in 2013.
Private family funeral services will be held.
