CHICAGO – Ann (Gilchrist) Dorian, 79, of Chicago died Feb. 16, 2021 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago after a short battle with cancer.
Ann was born March 16, 1941 in Morris, Illinois and was raised near Mazon. After high school, she attended the Illinois Commercial College in Urbana and began a long career in the travel industry.
She married George Dorian on June 28th, 1969. Together they owned Sangor Tours where Ann organized and led many tour groups internationally. She and George travelled extensively and were often joined by their friends.
Ann enjoyed traveling, shopping for nieces and nephews, dining out with friends, and visits with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Gilchrist, Helen(McCormack) Gilchrist (deceased 1944) , and her husband, George.
She is survived by her sister, Jane G. Cain ( Michael), her niece, Sara McHenry(Kenton), her nephew, Timothy Cain (Sarah), several great nieces and nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends.
Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of Ann's life will be held at a later date.
