Eleanor Ruth Anderson

Born: February 5, 1940; in Louisville, MS

Died: December 18, 2020; in Chicago, IL

Eleanor Ruth (Wade) Anderson, 80, of Morris, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at Rush Hospital in Chicago. Born February 5, 1940 in Louisville, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late James G. and Glennie G Wade.

As a teenager, Eleanor and her family moved to Itasca IL in 1954. She graduated in the 1st graduating class from Lake Park High School in Roselle, IL in 1958. After graduation, she attended ISU for two years where she met Larry E. Anderson. They were married on June 3, 1961. Eleanor and Larry moved to the Mazon area in 1961 before settling in Morris in 1964.

Eleanor began working at the Morris Daily Herald in 1965 until 2007, also working at Dorothy Black Real Estate/Century 21 from 1985 to 2010. She was a member of the Mazon Junior Women's Club, the Morris BPW, the Grundy County Historical Society, GHS Festival of Trees, the Morris Moose, and the Morris Garden Club. She was a 50-year member of the United Methodist Church of Morris.

Eleanor is survived by her son, Andrew E. (Dejah) Anderson of Morris; grandsons Wyatt G. Anderson of Marseilles, IL, Elijah W. Anderson, and Levi T. Anderson and one granddaughter Jesse Anderson all of Morris; brothers, James N. Wade of Itasca and J. Glenn Wade of Sleepy Hollow IL; sister, Sue Imikus of Wheaton, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Larry.

The family will celebrate Eleanor's life in the spring of 2021. Cremation rites were
