Billy Ray Greathouse

Billy Ray Greathouse, 83, of Midland, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Midland surrounded by his family and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 10:00AM at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 4805 Gateway St, Midland, TX, 79707. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Midland. Billy was born on June 29, 1931 to Frances and Clarence Greathouse in Blackwell, TX. He was a Civil Engineer, employed by the City of Midland for 15 or 16 years. Had wonderful personality, was a High Priest in his Church, married to present wife for 32 years, a great Dad to his own children and also to his stepchildren, and his numerous grandchildren a great PaPa, or Pa Bill. And last but not least, he served in the Military during the Korean War, for the Marines. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Greathouse; children, Vicki Joiner and husband Mike; Donald Greathouse and wife Tamara; Terri Moore; Renell Sanders; Robert Sanders and wife Linda; Barry Sanders and wife Joyce; George Sanders and wife Sandra; and Danny Sanders and wife Cherie. Pallbearers will be Danny Sanders, Justin Hawk, Donald Greathouse, Logan Bushman, Gus Pollock, Zackery Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be Tanner Bushman, George Sanders, Barry Sanders, Robert Sanders. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
