Alvino (Elvis) Reyes, 81, went home to be with our heavenly Father on September 2, 2018. He was born March 1, 1937 in Midland, Texas. He married the love of his life, Miquela Martinez Reyes on September 10, 1956 and they were about to celebrate their 62nd Wedding Anniversary. Alvino's favorite activities were fishing, hunting, golfing, watching western movies and going to the casinos. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and father-in-law. He is survived by wife: Miquela Reyes, sons: Alvino Reyes, Jr. and wife, Cathy of Midland; Ricky Reyes and wife, Lucrecia of Midland; Edward Reyes and wife, Gabriela of Midland; daughter: Anna Lopez and husband, Freddy from Midland, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Maria Carrasco from Midland and Chila Castillo from Dallas. Alvino is preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe and Juana Reyes, his brothers: Trine, Lorenzo, Jose, Simon, Jesus "Chino" and sister Maria Reyes. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m, Rosary at 7:00 p.m., both at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Chris Reyes, Eric Reyes, Andrew Reyes, AJ Reyes, Joe Luis Ybarra, Vicente Ochoa III, Ethan Reyes and Nathan Reyes. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to all our family, our friends, Hospice of Midland and Ashton Medical Lodging for all their help and loving care that was given to our father. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe. Funeral mass is under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel.
