On July 5th, 1964 an Angel was born. She grew up in Midland, TX. She is survived by her father Jimmy Starks, mother Velma Jean Carroll (deceased) and host of Brothers and a Sister. Her son's Charles Ray Johnson Jr. (Deceased), Cedric Johnson and Grandsons Camren and Carter Johnson that she loved more than life. She will be remembered as loving, caring, big hearted and funny. She let you know what was on her mind always. There was never a dull moment. She loved to cook, put puzzles together, read books, laugh and spend time in her house with her Grandsons, but most of all She loved the Lord. Her life was not easy but she made the most of it. She worked over 20 years as a Home-maker, catering to the elderly. God saw her getting tired, so, He put His arms around her and whispered "Come to Me." With tearful eyes I watched her slowly fade away. Although I Loved Her dearly, I could not make her stay. A Golden heart stopped beating August 4th, 2018. A loving Daughter, Mother, Sister, Aunt and Grandma has been put to rest. I'm finally at ease knowing that God only takes the Best! "I thought of you today, but that's nothing new. I thought of you yesterday and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. Your memory is a keepsake from which I'll never part. God has you in His arms I have you in my heart." Funeral service will be Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM, Thomas Funeral Home, Midland, TX.
