Marion Donald Bizzell a native to Midland died at 5:43 p.m. Friday, November 23rd, at his home surrounded by his family. Marion was affectionately known to his family and closest friends as Don. Marion Donald Bizzell was born on June 5, 1930, in Midland, Texas. He attended Midland High School and graduated in 1948. He enlisted in the United States Army and served from January 1951 to October 1952, and awarded a Korean Service Medal. Following his military service he met his sweetheart Barbara Jean Busby of Oklahoma. Don and Barbara were married in Midland, Texas on July 24, 1953. He was employed with Safeway Foods as Market Mgr. from 1953-1955 and also employed with Powell Brothers Market and Albertsons respectively and retired in 1995. Don was a member and served faithfully at Living Way Church for 40 years and also a faithful member of Believersway Church in Midland. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Barbara Bizzell, sons Terry Don Bizzell and wife Sara Bizzell of Oklahoma, Stephen Dale Bizzell and wife Vicki Bizzell of Midland, brother David and Elva Bizzell of Odessa and sister Daisy Shipp of Midland. He is survived by five (5) grandchildren and nine (9) great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father and mother David Marzy Bizzell and Doca May Bizzell of Midland; brother W.D. Bizzell of Midland; sisters Nora Mae Kiser of Midland, Edith Martin of Stanton and Sybil Brown of Andrews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29th at 11:00 am, at Believersway Church in Midland, 4400 N. Midland Dr., Ste 400. Rev. Braden Conner, pastor of Believersway Church will be officiating the service. Visitation for family and friends will be at Ellis Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 28th.
