Pete "Supe" DeAnda, 74 passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 24, 2018, with his family by his side. Pete was born January 17, 1944 in Ft Stockton, Texas to late Pedro and Celestina (Tavarez) DeAnda and was raised in Rankin, TX. Pete was a US Army veteran. He worked the majority of his Life as an electrician. Pete retired in 2016 after working in maintenance for Upton County Courthouse for several years. Pete's passion was playing golf and was one of the first members of the Pan American Golf Association, later being elected President in the early seventies. Pete was also a member of the West Texas Trail Riders, where he made many friends and participated on many trail rides. He loved his cowboy expeditions. Pete is survived by his companion of over twenty six years, Beatrice Bernal, two sons, Xavier DeAnda, and Michael DeAnda( wife Paulina),one daughter Melissa DeAnda. Four sisters Maria Quintanar (Husband Ismael), Elvira DeAnda, Annie Valenzuela (husband John), and Emma DeAnda, one brother Eloy Luna. Seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pete is preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Celestina DeAnda and Sister Enedina Martinez. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 at St. Thomas Catholic Church Located at 100 Mississippi, Rankin, TX. Interment followed at Rankin Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Midland 911 W. Texas Ave. Midland TX 79701 and 2304 W. Wadley Midland TX 79705.
