Teresa graduated from Midland High School 1973 and soon after met the love of her life Manuel H Torres. Were married Sept 1, 1974 and had 2 children. Son Roman Adrian and daughter Tanya Angela. She knew no stranger had a big heart and was always willing to share her love for God with a lot of pride. Very active in Gods service by leading worship at Midland Latin Free Methodist Church were she also taught Sunday school and inspired and mentored many young people who until this day hold her close to their heart. Teresa had the gift of gab and was able to make a friend in a sec. She was able to strike up a conversation with anyone that crossed her path. An outing was an adventure because going to the grocery store was a challenge because she knew everyone going down the isle. Everyone was her friend. Her children were always her priority. She would cater to them and their friends. She was known for her cooking and her house was always full of love and amazing food. Later in life she became a member of Mid-Cities Community Church where she was involved in multiple classes that opened the door for her ministry of hospitality. She joined an empty nesters life group where she flourished with all the members and became a big part of that family. She touched all their lives and they blessed her as much as she blessed them. Her numerous friendships could literally be counted by the number of connections on her Facebook account. Her ministry on social media touched many as she displayed her journey and struggles. All her prayers touched many on FB. Worship was her favorite time of the service and she claimed the second pew in the sanctuary. All the members knew that they would find her there every Sunday. Her heart was full of joy when all her children and grandchildren attended the service with her. In spite of all her pain on Sunday August 19th was her last visit to her home church because her grandson would also be attending. Her effort to attend has forever changed his life because he knows that he wants to see her again. She was beaming with joy because she was surrounded by her loved ones at the alter. She fought cancer til the end and cancer did not win. She won her life battle and the inheritance that God has for her. She leaves a legacy of strength, power and love.
