Cole Williams Obituary

Cole Williams, 19, of Midland, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 22, 2009 after a brief illness. Cole was born December 24, 1989 in Lubbock, TX to Alan and C. Dianne Williams. He was raised in Midland and graduated in 2009 from Hillcrest School, Midland. Cole was currently a freshman at Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell, enrolled in their welding program. Cole received his Black Belt in Tae-Kwan-Do, was a member of Boy Scout Troop 175, a member of Golf Course Road Church of Christ, and former employee of Albertson's-Midland Drive. As with most teenagers, Cole greatly enjoyed playing video games and was an unbelievable builder of Lego creations. He will be remembered by many for his infectious smile, loyalty to friends, and warm hugs. Preceded in death by grandfathers: Kenneth D. Quimby of Wichita, KS and Lawrence W. Williams of Amarillo, TX, and cousin, Taylor D. Quimby of Hutchinson, KS. Survivors include his parents: Alan and Dianne Williams of Midland, brother, Chandler Williams, grandmothers: Dortha Quimby of Wichita, KS and Marge Williams of Amarillo, uncles and aunts: Kenneth J. Quimby and wife Laura of Maumelle, AR, Susan and Mac Barnett of Wichita, KS, Greg Williams of Austin, TX and Larry Williams of Amarillo, TX, cousins: Julia Hughes, Jenni Hughes, Jack Hughes, Ashley Davenport and husband Philip, Austin Quimby, Justin Williams and wife Jamie, and Jason Williams. The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home, Sunday, October 25, 2009 between the hours of 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. A Memorial Celebration service has been scheduled for Monday, October 26, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Golf Course Road Church of Christ with Ronnie White officiating. Memorials may be made to Hillcrest School of Midland, 3510 North A St., Building C, Midland, TX 79705 or ENMU-Roswell, Special Services, PO Box 6000, Roswell, NM 88203. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered at www.ellisfunerals.com.
