It is with deeply saddened hearts that our family announces the passing of our beloved wife and mother on Thursday, January 28th, 2021. She was born in 1938 in Kirkland Lake, ON to Leopold and Annette Roy. She married the love of her life, John James (Jim) Dousett on November 24, 1962. Together they had three cherished girls, Leanna Jokela (Dan), Jennifer Sebele (Terry), and Allison Hintikka (Mathias). She was the beloved sister to Claude Roy (Joyce), Gerald Roy-predeceased(Doreen), Donald Roy(Lorna). She was also loved and cherished by her husband's family, Burt Dousett (Evelyn), Bill Dousett (Barb), and Betty Stiller(Gordon-predeceased). There were many that called her Aunt Jackie, some related by blood and some related by heart. Jacqueline loved many things but her relationship with her Creator, Jehovah, was always at the forefront. Inspired by that love, she deeply loved and cared for her family and friends. She loved music, dancing, cooking, cleaning, sewing and being hospitable. The "Dousett" home always had an aroma of home cooking and she was famous for her butter tarts. Unfortunately, that recipe has been taken with her for now. In the last six years or so, Jacqueline battled Alzheimer's and Aphasia. Despite these trials she always had a smile on her face and a dance in her step. Words alone cannot express the family's gratitude to the wonderful staff at St. Joseph's Villa, Sudbury, ON, as well as all the caregivers and medical staff that assisted the family with loving care towards Jacqueline when they lived in Bracebridge. There are too many care givers to name, but they are all remembered with heartfelt thanks. A memorial service with slide presentation will be held on zoom on February 27th starting at 1:30 p.m. Zoom ID and password are with the family, so please reach out to one of them for the details. Jacqueline's choice for donations would have been to
jw.org, in order to share her wonderful hope for a new world which is just around the corner.
