Obituary

David Belcher
David D. Belcher, 75, of Mt. Vernon, IN passed away July 8, 2019. He was born April 10, 1944 in Paris Island, SC to the late William and Frances (Luichinger) Belcher.
David graduated from Reitz High School in 1962. He was an active member of numerous masonic and civic organizations including Beulah Masonic Lodge #578 and Hadi Temple. David enjoyed playing cards with his friends and playing Santa for community events, especially 911 Gives Hope.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Belcher; brothers, Stephen Belcher and Jay Klamer.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty (Royalty) Belcher; son, Jamie Belcher; grandchildren, Sean, Tarrah, Sarah and Emily Belcher; great-grandchildren, Kenley, Leia and Ryker; mother-in-law, Caroline Winternheimer; nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 12, 2019 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 5301 S. St. Phillips Rd., Evansville, IN, with Rev. Dennis Wathen officiating and burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the Beulah Masonic Lodge #578, 1131 W. 4th St., Mt. Vernon, IN, with a Hadi Hospital Staff walk-through and Masonic Service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will also be held from 9:00 am until 10:00 am service time on Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beulah Lodge Scholarship Fund or the St. Paul's UMC Cemetery Fund.
