Philip F. Perrotte

Philip F Perrotte, 89, died at John F Kennedy Medical Center in Edison on Sunday March 24, 2013. Phil was born and raised in Verdun, Canada where he served in the Merchant marine and worked at Fairchild Aircraft. He came to settle in Edison at the age of 20 and married Gloria Zeno.
He worked for Johnson & Johnson (Ethicon) for 40 years, retiring in 1985. He also worked part-time for many years at the Edison Lanes where he met and made a tremendous amount of friends. He coached for the Edison Baseball League for over 13 years and did volunteer work for Edison's Democratic Party in the late1950's early 1960's. Phil always had a story to tell, loved people, and lived a good life. He was a devoted Father and Grandfather. He will be missed by his family, his friends, nieces and nephews, and all the people he met and loved along the way.
Phil is survived by his children Iola (Perrotte) Shapiro and her husband Donald of Edison; Joseph Perrotte and his wife Kelli and their two children Glorianna and Joseph, and Denise (Perrotte) Hickson and her husband John of Highbridge. He was predeceased by his son Philip and wife Gloria.
Funeral Services will take place at 10:00 am Wednesday March 27, 2013 at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave. Edison; followed by a 10:30 am Mass at St. Theresa's RC Church in Edison; Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Funeral Home.
